Me, Rachel Swailes. My blog about stuff I get up to in and around the Western Cape, Cape Town, George, Wilderness, Hermanus and other cool places :)

When we first moved in, I would wake up every morning waiting for it to snow. I figured that it was cold and winter and that it would totally snow one of these days. Now that it’s Spring I expected it less. But on Sunday we woke up to a little bit of snow and watched while another two feet fell over the course of an hour.

With it being our first real snow and all, we couldn’t NOT build a snowman. By the end my hands were completely numb but it was so much fun. Here you can see him waving up to our flat.

  1. I used to live in London and now live in Cape Town – I miss the snow! A little jealous of you at the moment… oh hang on, its 28C here today… maybe not as jealous as I thought ;)

  2. 28 degrees! I’m completely jealous of you! I think I’ll take 28 degrees and a beach over snow…
