Well, the photos I landed up look pretty summery, but most were taken while wearing a raincoat! We were quite lucky with the weather for most of the visit, but it still made coming back to London feel like returning to the tropics.

The picture above was taken at the main ceremony of the Melrose Festival, called the Installation of the Melrosian and the Crowning of the Queen. Every year most of the towns have celebrations where everyone in the town joins in. Last year my cousin Erin was crowned as the Queen. The ceremony takes place in the Melrose Abbey which makes for a lovely setting. I was really impressed by the turn out and while it was very arb for an outsider to watch, it was great to see how many people get involved.

We took Jess walking quite often and on the way to the river she gets loose in the rabbit field. She darts around hunting for rabbits but I don’t think she’s know what to do if she caught one anyway!

This is Lindsay and John walking along the Tweed River. When I arrived by train I arrived at Berwick-Upon-Tweed, which is where this river meets the sea.

And of course, mandatory photo of ducks and ducklings on the Tweed!
